Currently on top of my WIP pile is the Heart Birth Sampler form the Historical Sampler Company.
It's simple, yet sophisticated. Destined to fly off to warm and sunny Florida, once I'm through with it (hopefully, before the commemorated baby goes off to college).
I bought a complete kit that included a b/w chart, DMC thread neatly organized on a labeled organizer and a needle. I opted for the 16-count linen (it's origin was not specified). The kit came in an attractive and sturdy paper bag, in which I store the project when it's not being worked on (comes in handy 'cause I'm running out of project bags).
The only thing I'm not too happy about the raw edges of the linen - they shed like crazy. It would be nice if the linen was serged all around. Otherwise, I'm enjoying the stitching experience.
And that's where I'm at right now.
